Summer at the Lyceum

Required Reading

Incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students have summer assignments to expand their horizons and prepare them for the upcoming year. See the links to the right for your student's summer reading and math assignments.

Summer Band/Art/Math Camp

Every summer, Lincoln Middle School offers an optional summer band, art and math enrichment program. The camp will run each morning from June 9-20th.  This is strongly recommended for new students in the program as they will get to establish themselves at Lincoln Middle School before school starts. Also, these students will be able to advance faster and further on their instrument of choice. Students can choose to take both band and art with math, or all band or all art with math. Interested students may contact Mr. Eckstein beginning April 18th. 

Online Courses

Some students and parents choose to accelerate their course schedule for mathematics and/or foreign languages. Florida Virtual School (FLVS) offers free courses for all Florida students. Enrollment is year-round, so students can start courses at any time. This is a popular option for accelerating a student's course progression in mathematics.
