Assessment Overview

  • Florida’s K-12 assessment system measures students’ achievement of Florida’s education standards, which were developed and implemented to ensure that all students graduate from high school ready for success in college, career, and life. 
    Students in the following courses are subject to state assessment:

    • English Language Arts: 3rd - 8th grade, English I, and English II
    • Mathematics: 3rd - 8th grade, Algebra I, and Geometry
    • Science: 5th grade Science, 8th grade Science, Biology
    • Social Studies: Civics and US History 
  • Cambridge Provisional Test Dates: 

     

    The times and dates for Cambridge are set by Cambridge International.

    We cannot change the dates and times, and there are NO makeup tests.

    • Morning tests begin PROMPTLY at 9:00 am.
      • Students need to be on time for school as students will be called to the testing areas at 8:00am.
    • Afternoon tests begin PROMPTLY at 1:00 pm 
      • Students will be called to the testing areas at 12:00pm

  • The 2023 AP Exams will be administered in schools over two weeks in May: May 1–5 and May 8–12.

    The times and dates for AP are set by the College Board.

    We cannot change the dates and times, and there are NO makeup tests.

    • The only exception are Cambridge students with an overlapping exam time. 

     

    • Schools must begin the morning exam administration between 8 and 9 a.m. local time 
      • Students need to be on time for school as students will be called to the testing areas at 7:55am.

     

    • The afternoon exam administration must begin between 12 and 1 p.m. local time.   
      • Students will be called to the testing areas at 11:45am.
