• Buchholz Seniors!  Class of 2023.
     
    We hope you all have been well and having a nice summer. Senior parking is coming up! This year, there will be three dates: Early Bird parking for SENIORS ONLY will be on August 1st, 2022 from 12:00 to 3:00; New to Buchholz SENIORS ONLY parking on Thursday Aug 4 during New Student Orientation; and Regular Senior parking on Thursday, August 11 from 3:00pm-4:00pm. The spaces will be given on a first come first serve basis

    For Early Bird Parking only, we are utilizing SignUp Genius for you to choose a time to arrive at room 04-068 to purchase your decal. 

     

    The schedule and instructions are as follows:

    PRIOR to August 1: Sign Up Genius Information, Google Form, and Parking Responsibilities

    Please sign up for a time to arrive at Buchholz to purchase your parking decal.

    Then, complete this Google Form. It will require an upload of your driver’s license and registration. This form should be completed by Saturday, July 30 at 11:59 pm. If this form is not filled out, you will NOT be processed when you arrive at school.

    Then, please print, read and sign a copy of the Parking Responsibilities. Parents MUST also sign this form. (Copies will also be available in the front office.) Bring this completed form with you when you come to purchase your decal.

     

    August 1: Senior Early Bird Day (12:00 to 3:15)

    Please arrive at room 04-068 by your scheduled time (from SignUp Genius) and line up outside the double doors to purchase your decal.

     

    August 4: New Student Orientation & New Senior Parking Day

    8:30am           Doors Open

    9:00am           Student Assembly in the Gym

                          Parent Assembly in the Auditorium

    1:30pm           Student Pick-up

     

    **Seniors new to BHS that attend the orientation will be able to purchase a parking decal during the orientation. Have a picture of your driver’s license and registration ready to upload as well as a completed, signed copy of the Parking Responsibilities.     August 11: Senior Day (3:00pm - 4:00pm)

    Seniors come to 04-068 to purchase your decal. By Tuesday, August 9 at 11:59 pm, fill out this Google Form. It will require an upload of your driver’s license and registration. Print and bring a signed copy of the Parking Responsibilties form. After this day the paved/grass/church spaces available will be sold to interested Juniors.

    IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:

     

    Pricing:

    The prices for spaces are as follows:

    -$100 for Paved

    -$75 for Grass

    -$50 for Dual Enrolled

    -$75 for Church (but will NOT be sold until all on campus parking is sold)

     

    *It is EXTREMELY important that you (or whoever is getting a space for you) has ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK COMPLETED. DEBTS MUST also be CLEARED prior to arrival, or by returning textbooks and making payments on this day. 

    If you do not have all of your paperwork or debts cleared, you will NOT be processed until it is paid, regardless of  your sign-up time.

     

    Required Documentation:

    IT CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH, CAREFULLY REVIEW THE LIST OF DOCUMENTATION YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE AND/OR BRING WITH YOU TO PURCHASE YOUR DECAL.

     

    You will need:

    ·  Completed Google Form with uploaded pictures of your driver’s license and registration

    ·  Signed ‘Parking Responsibilities’ form

    ·  Exact amount of cash or check written out to “Buchholz High School”

    ·  White Card Information (we will provide the actual ‘White Card’ at school during parking for you to transfer information)

    o  Color of Vehicle

    o  Phone number

     

    Additional Requirements:

    GPA MUST be 2.0 or above.

    Seniors MUST have 18 credits completed.

    Juniors MUST have 12 credits completed.

     

    ** If you have questions about debt, please call the school at (352) 955 - 6702. They will be able to tell you if you’re on the debt list and how to resolve it. If you know that you have returned all of your textbooks and paid for all the club/fair share dues, then you should not be on the debt list. All debts can be cleared the day of by returning books or paying for books/club dues/fair share. All checks need to be made payable to Buchholz High School. Debt payment MUST BE SEPARATE from parking payment!! (YOU WILL NEED A SEPARATE CHECK/CASH FOR BOTH!!)

     

    ***We will be unable to make copies. You must bring copies with you. Many local businesses (including CVS, Publix, and Walgreens) sell copies for as little as $0.19.

     
    For an additional $25, Seniors will be able to paint their spot before school begins. Spots may be painted on August 5th, 8th or 9th (Pre-Planning) from 9am - 2pm or August 10th-12th after school, once your design has been approved. See information on this page.

    August 15: Junior Day (3:00pm - 5:00pm)

    There will be a random drawing of the remaining on-campus (paved and grass) spaces done by Mr. Purvis in the afternoon of Friday, August 12. All interested juniors must fill out a card in the front office no later than 1:00pm on Friday, August 12. The cards will be available from Wednesday, August 10 through B lunch on Friday, August 12. All drawing winners will be informed that they have obtained an on-campus space before their arrival on Monday.

    After the on-campus spaces have all been reserved, students will be able to purchase parking at the church.

    August 16: Remaining Decals (3:00pm - 5:00pm)

    Remaining decals (church or dual enrollment) will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Students may also put their name on a waiting list that will also operate on a first come, first serve basis. Sophomores may purchase a decal upon their 16th birthday with a valid driver’s license.

  • Hello BHS Seniors!

    Seniors will be able to paint their spot ($25 fee) before school begins.

    The schedule is as follows:

    Week of  August 5 – August 9 during & after school hours.

    First week of school, August 10 – August 13, after school hours

    The school will NOT be providing any painting materials (paint, brushes, water buckets/water) or refreshments.  You are allowed to bring family members or friends to assist you in painting.

     

    Although you can paint whatever you may like for your spot, if it is deemed inappropriate, it will be painted over by the school (no reference to alcohol, drugs, profanity, or sex). 

    All designs must be preapproved.

     

    Below are the size requirements for your design. Please DO NOT make it any larger than specified, your design must be a foot within the lines of the parking space and spot number. Please provide your own material as listed below.

               

    Materials Checklist:

    • Design of Length: 12 ft  x  Width:  6ft (bring measuring tape)
    • Exterior latex house paint
    • Paint Brushes/Rollers, Paint Trays
    • Painter’s Tape
    • Sidewalk Chalk to sketch design
    • Water buckets (WITH YOUR OWN WATER)
    • Canopy for shade, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. (optional, but recommended)
    • Hand Sanitizer
