Welcome

The Media Center is open before school so that students may participate in maker space activities, do school work on computers, receive research assistance, and check out books for both schoolwork and for reading pleasure. Throughout the day, the media center is dedicated to academic activity, with classes utilizing the space for research and lessons. Curiosity is encouraged, as we seek to find digital and print materials that appeal to a wide range of interests.

Hours

The Media Center is open before school from 8:30 a.m. to 9:20 am. Students may visit throughout the day with a pass from their classroom teacher. The Media Center closes at 3:45 pm.

Students can check out and return books between the hours of 8:30 and 3:45, Monday through Friday.  

• Students may check out two books for two weeks.
• A student with a lost or damaged book may not check out a book until the book has been replaced or paid for.
• Students must have passes to come to the Media Center during the school day.
• The Media Center is open during lunch most days; students must have a pass to come during their lunch hour. 
• Computers are available for class research and assignments.
• Students may print in the media center, but only with prior permission.

How to Participate

1. Read the books. We have copies of each book in the media center, but you can also check one out from the Public Library, where many of the books are available as audiobooks, if you'd rather listen!

2. Get a brag tag for each book you read. And there are special treats and prizes for reading 5, 10 and all 15. Enjoy!
