    Student Advisory Council

    Welcome to the School Advisory Council (SAC) page. SAC is a team of individuals representing the community, parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff. SAC members represent the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by our school.

    The purpose of the SAC is to assist in developing and evaluating the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and the annual school budget. SAC collects and analyzes short-term and long-term outcomes of SIP, identifies problem areas, develops improvement strategies and then monitors their implementation.

     

    SAC meetings are held throughout the school year.  The dates and times of these meetings will be posted on the school calendar.

    SAC Nominations

    We are currently accepting nominations for the School Advisory Committee. We are looking to fill the Parent (2 positions), Community Member, and Business Representative positions. Members serve for a term of 2 school years. The committee is also composed of teachers and support staff.

    The deadline for nominations is May 17th, 2023. Nominations can be called in to the school’s front office or emailed to the principal at stokesay@gm.sbac.edu. For the person nominated, please include full name, position desired, phone number, and email address.

    All nominees will be placed on a ballot in the membership category in which they qualify for consideration.

    Electronic voting will take place from May 18th, 2023.
