Transportation Information for the 2025-2026 School Year

Attention Oak View Families:

Please be advised that the 2025–2026 Transportation Request Form is now available through Skyward to request bus service for the next school year. Even if your child rode the bus during the 2024-25 school year, you MUST complete this Form in Skyward to request service for the 2025-26 school year. The deadline to submit the completed form is Friday (July 18th) to ensure your student has transportation on the first day of school. Please complete this form on an internet browser. It is not accessible on the app.

Late forms will be accepted, but may not be processed by the start of school.

Please note that the Skylert notification system will be phased out, effective July 1, 2025. Moving forward, notifications regarding late bus routes will be sent through the new Apptegy App. We encourage you to download and enable notifications on this App in preparation of this change.

Updated Transportation Request Policy for 2025–2026:
As part of our efforts to improve efficiency and accuracy in student transportation routing, the Transportation Department will no longer accept verbal and/or paper bus stop requests from school officials or parents. All transportation requests MUST be submitted EXCLUSIVELY through the Transportation Request Form in Skyward.

• Any requests will take 2–3 business days to process.
• This excludes ESE students with an active IEP Plan with
  Transportation as a met requirement.
• Parents will be notified once the request is either approved or declined, and will receive supporting information explaining the decision.

Also, this is a reminder for any incoming 7th grade students. Proof of their tdap vaccination or exemption is required upon the first day of school. Failure to provide this information will result in your student being sent home due to noncompliance. Forms can be dropped off at the front desk or emailed to our Database Manager, Ms. Williams, at
williamsad.

OVMS Year Books Available:

We are excited to announce that we have a limited number of extra yearbooks for sale for those families who missed the pre-order deadline! Students who are interested in purchasing a yearbook should bring $30 cash or check (made out to Oak View Middle School) to Ms. Windy Bell in the front office to reserve a yearbook. Extra yearbooks will be sold on a first come first serve basis until they are gone, so if you're interested, please bring in your payment as soon as possible!
