The Academy of Future Teachers was established in 2015 to "grow our own" educators for Alachua County. AFT is a 4 year commitment starting in 9th grade (10th graders may apply). Highlights of the program include: internship opportunities during 3rd and 4th years, mentoring students of different ages and ability levels, and a focus directed at hands-on exploratory learning.
The Academy of Health Professions is a Career Academy Magnet program located on the campus of Gainesville High School. The focus of the AHP program is to provide experience for students interested in pursuing technical training in health-related careers.
