• Community Involvement

Community involvement in our district is an integral part of our students' and our schools' success. Parents, college students, retirees, community members, service organizations, and businesses donate their time and talents through many programs and activities. Below are some of the ways that the community can get involved:

    • As a tutor
    • Mentor a child or a class
    • PTA/PTSA Members
    • Classroom Speakers
    • Business Partners
    • Classroom Volunteers
    • Rockin' Readers
    • Lunch Buddies
    • School Advisory Members
    • Clerical Support

If you are a parent looking to volunteer at your student's school, please contact the school directly. If you are a community member that wants to get involved in our local schools, you can fill out the 23-24 ACPS Volunteer Interest Form, or you can email the Volunteer Specialist at volunteers@gm.sbac.edu or call (352) 955-7250 ext. 6411.
